Role: Outpatient Nurse Care Coordinator

Professional background: I’ve been a nurse for 17 years. All has been inpatient or home health nursing. My experience has been with pediatrics, infectious disease, pulmonary/allergy, and neonatology.

Why I'm excited about this role/program: Preparing families for discharge so that they can thrive at home has always been a passion for me. I’m excited to work with families and empower them as they care for their child at home and decrease trips back to the hospital. I hope to increase the comfort level of caregivers as they are transitioning to home from the hospital and also assist them with navigating the medical system.

Outside of work: I absolutely love New Orleans and try to plan a trip annually. I love to crochet blankets and I’m self-taught.
