LHL Program Family Holiday Party - THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2018
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM | LURIE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL | 225 E Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60611 (MAP)
We held our first annual LHL Program Family Holiday Party at Lurie Children’s Hospital. It was an absolutely wonderful event attended by 13 out of 19 program families. The event was also attended by Lurie Children’s medical, care coordination, and foundation teams. And no event would be complete without all three of our wonderful care coordinators.
The event was better than we could have imagined. It was intimate and personal. The Lurie’s team provided lunch, hot chocolate, treats, and games for the patient siblings. We were most encouraged to see families bond with one another. There is great comfort in knowing you are not alone on this journey and the party provided an opportunity for all our families to connect.
The true generosity and spirit of our organization was symbolized by the gifts that a few of our board members provided to our patients, and their siblings. In total, gifts were provided for 28 kids ranging from ages 0 – 18 years old. The families were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.
Thanks to all the families who made it to the party and gave us an unforgettable experience. We wish a wonderful holiday to all our program families, our supporters, and the team at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Created and planned by Livi’s aunt, Devon St. Louis organized a Brunch FUNraiser for all of Little Heroes League’s (and Livi’s) Michigan supporters. We had over 140 adults and kids come out to support our Little Heroes! From pictures with Santa, to a caricature artist, to games for kids, we hope everyone had as much fun as we did. We’d like to thank our amazing event volunteers, our in-kind gift donors, our event photographer (Meghan Lafferty), our family who helped spread the word of the event, all the supporters who attended, and the Lodge Grill and Bar for hosting. We look forward to an even bigger event next year! If you would like to plan/organize an event, please contact us.

11:00 AM 2:00 PM | CENTENNIAL CRAFTED BEER & EATERY | 733 N LASALLE DR., CHICAGO, IL CHICAGO, IL 60654 (MAP)
In March, Orangetheory Fitness franchise owner, Fletcher Boyle climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, a staggering 19,341 feet and dedicated his climb to the Little Heroes League, specifically Livi Etue, the daughter of two Orangetheory Fitness Old Town members.
Prior to his trip, Fletcher aimed to raise $1 for every vertical foot of the mountain. It was a goal as ambitious as his journey. To achieve his fundraising target, Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) hosted a fundraiser brunch in honor of Little Heroes League at Centennial Crafted Beer & Eatery. Not only was the event fun and memorable, but it set an exceptionally high bar against which all future LHL events will be measured! We’d like to give a special thanks to Aleks Saulys, Samantha Bartlett, and Alexis Conway who planned and executed the incredible event. And we'd also like to thank Erica Everson and Kelsey Kryzston who helped execute the event.
We’re so humbled by the generosity and dedication of Fletch, the OTF team, and all those who supported our cause by attending the event or donating.
